Wilson Honored By Jaycees
On Saturday, April 27, The Illinois Jaycees recognized City of Springfield Director of Communications Haley Wilson as one of its honorees for The Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) of Illinois for 2024. Haley joined City of Springfield in May 2023 and is responsible for all City communications and outreach including Municipal Channel 18 and the City’s Audio-Visual Department. MATHERS ROAD CLOSED FOR STRUCTURE REPAIR
Mathers Road is currently closed fully to all traffic between Cockrell Lane and Wood Duck Drive. Due to some erosion at the bridge structure just east of Cockrell Lane, the road has been closed until further evaluations and repairs can be made.
CWLP Awarded for Outstanding Safety Practices
Springfield, Ill.– City Water, Light and Power has earned the American Public Power Association’s Safety Award of Excellence for its Electric Division’s safe operating practices in 2023.
